The Contradiction of Existence

Friday, February 18, 2005
Flames burn in the rain from the sky,
Ice cracks in the corona of the sun.
Water flows in the volcano's anger,
Angels rest in the splitting of the earth.

Flowers bloom in the sands of the desert,
Plants flourish in the darkness of the night.
The blind man walks with conviction,
While the seeing man walks without real sight.

The glass in half full and yet it is half empty.
The stars shine but they are already gone.
Behold everyone, the contradiction of existence.
And ask yourself where you really came from.

Emancipation

Friday, February 11, 2005
The air around me,
Sometimes calm and warm.

Sometimes it is breezy
Sometimes there are storms.

I move my wings,
In monotonous 4:4 time.

But the heaven and the earth,
Both weep at my crime.

Its a crime to myself,
And also creation.

Contributing my flight,
To the world of damnation.

Caught up in the calm,
I can't fly in the storm.

Losing my fire in the breeze,
Dissolving my definition of one.

Got to tune my wings,
To the harmony of reason.

Stop being a sheep,
And emancipate my freedom.

Obliterate the march,
Submit to the one true Law.

Embrace my new domain,
Where Eagles soar.

The Time Has Come

Wednesday, February 09, 2005
It is time;
The time has come to disappear,
I have seen the world.
I have spoken to the birds.
And I have conversed with the Angels.

I have fought,
I have died and,
I have risen again.
My heart is weak now.

My heart is too old to accept anything else.
My time is too short to plant any more trees.
I am done bathing in the pools of destiny.
I have finished all the wine of the mystics.

After everything, that Angel never returned.
I have waited a lifetime for her, she never came.
The time has come to go,
Hand me my book.

For I must lay on my bed,
And recite the words of salvation.
For I would rather be annihilated
In the light of the next world for Her.
Than look and stumble
Through the darkness of this world for Her.

Give me my last witness,
Teach me my last verse,
Let me cry my last tear.
For the time has come.

Let Me Return

Sunday, February 06, 2005
I see the bareness of the landscape,
I've felt the futility of the flight of Icarus,
Like a fallen angel I walk this earth.
Unable to die, yet unable to live

In the depths of every canyon,
And the peaks of every mountain,
I have exhausted every wonder.
I have witnessed the universe within the flame,

And seen the force of creation,
Within the glimmer of a maiden's tearful eye.
Wake me up from this dream,
I don't belong here.

This place isn't my house.
I don't want what the book speaks of heaven.
I don't fear what they warn of hell.
Be it an eternity of bliss or an eternity of torment.

Without You they are both meaningless.
To some He is wrath,
To others He is mercy,
To me He is All and more.

So I beg,
Give me back my wings,
And let me return.
Because to me, He is home.

The Chalice of My Heart

Friday, February 04, 2005
Can you hear it?
That is the chalice of my heart.
It overflows with love for You.
The seams want to burst and
The glass wants to shatter
Because Your love fills it.
Oh my Love, my Love!

My soul is shredding,
It is separating,
It can't hold itself together without You.

These tears that baptize my face,
They exist only because
Your love has flooded the delta of my heart
The flood has crushed the boats of greed,
It has uprooted the beach trees of pride.
Your ocean of wine has drenched everything.

I am drunk!
I am destitute!
I am lost and lonely!
The moon in her majesty,
Is my only companion.
She hears my cries and,
My wailing in the night.
I call out to You,
Oh my Love!

Untitled § 1

Wednesday, February 02, 2005
The water-dweller glides through his river of reality,
In constant awe of the silvery surface above,
In wonder of what is beyond.

Oh my Friends!
Be as the water-dweller
And crave for what is beyond the silvery surface.

Let the yearning overcome you,
And light those candles,
With the forest of your heart.

See that water-dweller burst into flames,
And like a Phoenix,
Arise from a river of fire.

Breathe the air for the first time,
See the sunlight with your new eyes,
Feel the wind enter you and surround you.
Feel it shake you and take hold of you.
You are now the sky-walker.

Let the storm that rages above the water,
Take you to new heights,
So that you may kiss the moon,
Speak with the stars,
And feel the comfort of every cloud.

And when you pass that final barrier,
Prepare to die a thousand deaths,
Each one sweeter than the next.

Then fall,
And feel the wind tear through every feather,
And the sun scorch every hair,
And clash with your watery world again.

Behold! You are baptized once more.
